Since 1965:
When I left Farwell in 1966, I ended up in Levelland at South Plains
Junior College where I met Barbara (she is from Tahoka). We married in
1968 and moved to Lubbock. I worked in a place that decided to automate
its accounting system by installing a computer. I became a computer
programmer after a three and a half week training program. I finished
Texas Tech in 1977, the day Elvis Presley died. We left the Lubbock area
in 1986 and have settled in South Texas. While in Victoria, I was able to
complete an MBA at the University of Houston - Victoria in 1997.
I now work in Tahoka as an accountant for Lyntegar
Electrict Coop.
We have two children and six grandchildren. Our daughter, Belynda,
lives in Greenville, Texas and is a teacher with the Greenville school
district. Her husband works in the defense industry. They have two
kids. Our son, Daren, (he calls himself James now) is in San Antonio and
has four kids.
