Since 1965:
Over the past 40+ years, I have lived in numerous
locations including Arlington/Irving area, Orange County CA, San Francisco
Bay Area, Salt Lake City and have called the Houston area home since 1980.
I have experienced earth quakes, tornadoes, floods & hurricanes.
Fortunately, I have never experienced any personal problems from these
acts of nature other than a couple of large pine trees landing on a
neighbors garage roof & front yard.
I have been blessed to have all three sisters
and my parents end up in the Houston area and close by.
I have a daughter and son who both graduated
from UT Austin. And yes, my daughter's children learned to give the "hook'em
horns" sign at an early age! !
My daughter, Laura, married Andrew, a native
Houstonian in 2000 and they have blessed me with Lily & Colin, who are
my pride and joy.
My son, Justin married Suzy, a native of the
Fort Worth area in 2007, and they hopefully will start a family soon.
After graduating from UT, Justin moved to San Francisco where he stayed
until early 2007 when he finally returned to Houston.
I have been single since 1989 . . . my how
time flies when you are having fun! ! I was a stay at home Mom until I
divorced, except for a couple of years when I was a real estate agent. In
1990, I started working for DHL Worldwide Express for over 10 years. The
past 5 years, I have worked for Hanover Compression. In 2007, Hanover
merged with Universal Compression (our biggest competitor), and the new
company was named Exterran.
Two years ago, I moved to The Woodlands, which
is approximately 40 miles north of downtown Houston on I-45. I love all
the trees & the conveniences that are within a short drive of home,
except for work where I spend an average of one and a half hours a day
commuting. That will shorten in a couple of months when we relocate our
corporate office to the Greenspoint area off I-45.
If ever in the Houston area ~ give me a call!
